Venus To Lock Horns With Safina In Semifinal
The third seeded Venus William has stormed in to the semifinals of the women’s single event of the 123rd Wimbledon championship as she outplayed Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska in the quarter-final match in London on Tuesday.
Venus, who is in hunt of her third consecutive Wimbledon title, showed her dominance on the tennis court as she has defeated the 11th seeded Radwanska in straight sets by 6-1 6-2.
Venus has not lost even a single set in the Wimbledon championship since the 2007 and Radwanska was unable to pose any challenge against the five time Wimbledon champion, Venus in the match which lasted for just one hour and 8 minutes.
Venus will now play against the top seeded Dinara Safina in the semifinal to book her place in the final match which will be played on Saturday.
Safina has made in to semifinals with an unconvincing victory over Germany's unseeded Sabine Lisicki by 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday.
