Virgin Mobile Launches 'vSleek' In Indian Market

Virgin Mobile in association with its Indian partner Tata Teleservices has Virgin Mobile Brings vSleek To Indialaunched ‘vSleek offer’ for its Indian customers.

According to this offer, buyers of vSleek mobile phone, targeting youth, will get a lifetime validity voucher, a Starter User Kit and 2000 minutes of free local calls to any network.

The customers will be offered these 2000 free minutes over a period of five months. Every month, 400 minutes will be credited to customer’s accounts having one month validity from the date of the credit.

Weighing just 66 gms, the newly launched color handset (vSleek) is 10mm thin and sports a 1.77-inch screen with 65K TFT display.

The new slim color phone also works as an MP3 player, plays FM radio, has a micro SD card slot, which backs up to 2GB memory cards, and a VGA camera.

Besides all this, the phone features 8MB of SRAM, 5MB of user memory, 250 phonebook memory, 32MB of flash memory in addition to 250 in RUIM (SIM) memory. The phone is also capable of doubling up as a data modem with a maximum speed of up to 153 Kbps.

While lecturing on the occasion, Mr. Deval Parikh, Chief Officer, Handsets, VAS and Procurement of Virgin Mobile India stated, “The vSleek offer is based on our finding that youth like to talk a lot. They want to stay connected with their peers and are always looking for the best deal.  With this offer we want to surprise our users by clubbing a mid segment, stylish, functionality rich (with MP3 player, FM, micro data card, camera) and attractively priced CDMA handset with an unmatched deal of 2000 minutes of free local calls to any network.”

Virgin vSleek handset offers one-touch access to Vbytes, Virgin Mobile’s VAS data portal, where users can get limitless access to Virgin Mobile selected content and other applications for a charge of Rs 5 per day.

Available at just Rs 4,799, the sleek phone is available in 15,000 outlets across India including various retail outlets such as The Mobile Store, RPG Cellucom, Univercell, Croma, Convergem, Mobile NXT, amongst others.
