Vishnu breezes into quarterfinals of FuturesChennai boy Vishnu Vardhan has stormed into the quarterfinals of the men’s singles event of the USD 10,000 Indian F7 Futures tennis tournament after defeating Max Jones at the DLTA Complex on Wednesday.

The top seeded Vishnu ousted Max in a three setter match 6-1 3-6 6-3 to advance to the next round.

Vishnu will play against the seventh seeded compatriot Rupesh Roy in the quarterfinal. Roy was declared winner of match when Ronak Manuja opted to withdraw from second round match.  

Another Indian N Prashant also entered into the quarterfinals after defeating his compatriot Ashutosh Singh in straight sets by 6-3 6-4.

Prashant will now clash with the fifth seeded Peter Lucassen of the Netherlands in the quarterfinal match.
