Vodafone Service is now Available with iPhones From 14 January 2010From Jan 14 2010, Vodafone is operating its iPhone in Britain, with free handset for £35 a month, on a two-year contract. There is 600 minutes of free calls, unlimited SMS and Wi-Fi services available with this two years contract. Though the price plan does not give any competitive advantage, due to slightly expensive rates compared to its rivals, it has been a surprise to Vodafone users.

Previously Orange, O2 and Tesco started selling iPhone handsets which offered customers with different price plans for 12 months or 18 months contracts. The entry level prices for the iPhone over 18 months offered by Vodafone is about £15 more priced than Orange and O2. On the other hand, the price for two years offered by Vodafone is about £40 cheaper than O2 but £75 costlier than Orange.

Guy Laurence, chief executive of Vodafone UK, believes that competition is not in the price plans but is in the network quality offered by us. O2, which joins Vodafone in offering Apple handset, had problems with its network which made users to experience problem in accessing internet on their phone.
