Volkswagen’s Vento to debut by autumn this yearThe Indian subsidiary of the German auto major, Volkswagen has recently announced that the company believes its upcoming sedan will be launched in the Indian market in autumn this year. While Volkswagen released the sketch of Vento last month, it may be noted here that the Vento will be Volkswagen's second volume model in the Indian market after its launch of the new Polo.

According to the experts, Vento will be coming as a premium entry level Sedan in the country. While the product will be manufactured at Volkswagen's plant in Chakan, Pune, the company believes that the product has been completely designed to the needs and expectations of the Indian consumer.

In fact, the product is expected to debut in both diesel and petrol variants. Moreover, it will be powered by 1.6 L engines and will be available in both manual and automatic (petrol version with AT) transmissions to the Indian consumer. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said, that the product has been made keeping in mind the needs of the Indian consumer. Moreover, Garg also highlighted the fact that it wills serve the needs of the future premium consumer of the Volkswagen brand in the Indian market.
