Warner continues poor domestic start with 'duck' dismissal in Ryobi Cup game

WarnerSydney, Oct 8 : Controversial Australian opener David Warner has failed to improve his poor start to the domestic season in the country after he was dismissed for a duck in his domestic side New South Wales' (NSW) two-wicket defeat to Victoria in their Ryobi Cup clash.

Warner, who scored just four in his only previous start for NSW this season, was handed a one-match suspension by Cricket NSW for failing to turn up for his Sydney grade side Randwick-Petersham during the weekend.

According to News. com. au, Warner was the first wicket to fall after facing only 12 deliveries after NSW won the toss and elected to bat, although NSW's top-scorer Ben Rohrer said that Warner is unlikely to be troubled by a lack of confidence despite his successive failures.

According to Rohrer, Warner is normally good on sub-continent type wickets, which are low and slow and he hits the ball through point, adding that he is never short on confidence and will make an impact in the future games. (ANI)
