Wheat output goes down in Haryana

Wheat-ProductionAs per a senior farm official, wheat production of Haryana will fall this year. It has been estimated that there will be a huge production of in the year when the season commenced. But now it has been seen that the output can't reach to that mark and will behind by a huge margin.

According to the official, higher temperature in this region has ruined the earlier expectation and now he is apprehending that the wheat output may fall behind by 200,000 tonnes from the expected figure. Haryana is the third biggest wheat producer in the country.

Additional director of Haryana farm department, Mr. B. S. Duggal has informed that harvesting 11.4 million tonnes of wheat during the current season is going to be a tough ask. Earlier it has been targeted to harvest 11.4 million tonnes of wheat which is now seems to end up in between11.2 to 11.3 million tonnes.

As per the India Meteorological Department temperature has been the biggest concern for the crop. It was recorded above normal by 4-6 degree celcius during most of March which has hugely affected the output figure at the end.
