Winfrey stunned by $1-trillion plagiarism lawsuit

Oprah WinfreyWashington, Aug 11 : American TV mogul Oprah Winfrey has rubbished accusations of plagiarism and insists that she only came to know of the lawsuit filed against her when the 1-trillion-dollar lawsuit was dismissed by the court.

A U. S. tabloid had alleged last week that author Damon Lloyd Goffe had filed a case against Winfrey for plagiarising his book A Tome of Poetry in her internet-published Pieces of My Soul.

The National Enquirer claimed to have access to the lawsuit filed by Goffe at the District of Columbia Court on July 31 wherein he had alleged of a confession of plagiarism by Winfrey.

Winfrey was shocked when she came to know of the allegations.

"We were never served with this lawsuit, but we''ve been informed that the judge dismissed it," Contactmusic quoted Winfrey's spokesperson as saying. (ANI)
