Hundreds of worker at the company's units in European nation went on strike for the third day over demand for better day after trade union officials said that they wanted the management to negotiate a better deal for the workers. As many as 900 workers at the company's German logistics centres went on strike for the third day on Monday over the dispute affecting company operations in the region.

Verdi, a service sector union, claimed that about 600 workers were on strike at the company's facility in Bad Hersfeld while another 300 were on strike in Leipzig. "The strike will last the whole day until the end of the late shift," Verdi said. The union wants the company to come to a collective bargaining agreement.

The company currently employs 9,000 people in Germany and it has faced criticism for not agreeing to implement job conditions that are similar to that agreed by other mail order and retail firms in Germany. Workers are demanding higher basic pay and bigger supplements for night shifts.
