The subsidiaries of SAR group, Wynn Telecom has declared that it is going to set up a mobile manufacturing unit in Himachal Pradesh. The investment for this venture is coming around Rs. 270 crore with a production capacity.

The company is looking forward to produce around one million handsets per month form this facility. This will be their first made-in-India mobile form the company. As per the company officials, by August 2011 the unit will be operative.

The group has decided to invest Rs. 500 crore for this new telecom venture, from which Rs. 100 crore is meant to be invested this year while Rs. 400 is kept for next year, which will finance the setting up of the manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh, and also the marketing expenses.

The industry is expecting to make around 180 million units sales this year. The demand for mobile phones is increasing at a rapid rate in the nation.

The company is looking to take the advantage of this opportunity. With this venture, Wynn aims to secure one of the top positions in the market.
