Bosh scores 31, Raptors run past Warriors in OT, 112-108

Los Angeles - Chris Bosh took care of the offense and made sure his Toronto Raptors teammates handled the defense down the stretch.

Bosh had 31 points with nine rebounds, and the Raptors won their season home-opener by dominating the Golden State Warriors in overtime for a 112-108 victory on Friday night.

"We just got to play tough down the stretch, that's really what it's all about," said Bosh, who scored 14 points in the final quarter and overtime.

"We knew we had to jump on them. That's what overtime is all about, especially when you're at home," he added. "We jumped on them early. I told them, 'Look, we don't worry about offense. If we stop them we're going to win the game.'"

After Bosh made two free throws with 14.5 seconds left to level the score at 96-apiece, the Warriors had a shot to win. But Corey Maggette slipped and fell on a drive to the basket.

The Raptors got the ball back with seven tenths of a second remaining, but Anthony Parker's potential game-winning jumper rimmed out, sending the game into overtime.

The extra five-minute session belonged to the Raptors. They ran off the first eight points and the Warriors missed seven straight shots to open up a 104-96 advantage with 59 seconds left.

Spain's Jose Calderon made layup and two free throws around jumpers by Bosh and Italy's Andrea Bargnani.

The Warriors finally ended the drought on Kalenna Azabuike's layup with 45 ticks remaining. But the Raptors sank eight free throws to seal the win.

Parker scored 23 points for the Raptors (2-0), Bargnani added 19 off the bench, while Calderon chipped in with 16 points and 13 assists.
