Brooke Burke who injured her foot on this season’s Dancing With The Stars was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for X-rays and examination.

Rehearsing the difficult jitterbug with her partner Derek Hough on Sunday afternoon, she came down hard on her foot, which caused it to swell and bruise.  A little sore, nonetheless, she practiced and felt ready to dance on the show.

Yet, it seems the Dancing With The Stars show is jinxed, this being the show’s third injury.  Olympic volleyball star Misty May-Treanor withdrew from the competition due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, Karina Smirnoff tweaked her ankle, while comedian Jeffrey Ross suffered a corneal abrasion, when partner Edyta Slwinska’s sharp acrylic nails grazed his eye.

Who could have thought dancing could be such risky business?  Seems the remaining eight contestants have reason enought to be paranoid!
