Washington, Nov 13: Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch has been reportedly sold to an investment firm.

The troubled singer – who saved the 2,800-acre Californian estate from auction earlier this year after striking a deal with an investment company – has now officially passed the property deeds over to Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC.

The company’s bosses will rename the property in a joint venture with the pop star, according to reports.

Santa Barbara public records confirm Michael is no longer the owner of the ranch, reports Contactmusic.

San Francisco - Drummer Mitch Mitchell, who with Jimi Hendrix founded the Jimi Hendrix Experience in the 1960s, has died at the age of 61.

The last surviving member of the trio was found dead Wednesday in a hotel room in Portland in the north-western US state of Oregon, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.

He died of natural causes, the local medical examiner said.

A week earlier, he had performed as part of the Experience Hendrix Tour, a tribute to Hendrix, in Seattle and Portland, where the West Coast leg of the tour ended.

London, Nov 13: Mitch Mitchell, the British drummer for the legendary Experience of the 1960s and the group''s last surviving member, has been found dead in his US hotel room early Wednesday.

The 61-year-old was found in the Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

Although a medical examiner claimed that the death appeared to be from natural causes but that there would be an autopsy.

Hendrix died in 1970 and the band''s bassist Noel Redding died in 2003.

The controversial pop star, who created his fantasy escape on the sprawling central California ranch at the height of his fame in 1988, has transferred ownership of the property to a company that he owns jointly with the private equity firm which took over his 24.5-million-dollar debt on the property in May.

According to the Santa Barbara County Assessor's Office, Jackson sold the property for 35 million dollars.

Los Angeles - A woman who once tried to become a contestant on American Idol was found dead outside the home of Paula Abdul, one of the talent show's judges, in a case police are investigating as a possible suicide, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

The woman was identified as Paula Goodspeed, 30, who auditioned for the show in 2005. She identified Abdul as her idol and bore a remarkable resemblance to her.
