Dusseldorf, Germany - Light, red wines from temperate areas are currently in vogue, according to organizers of a Dusseldorf wine trade show.

Vineyards in cool regions produce fine, aromatic red wines with a maximum of 13 per cent alcohol per volume. In cooler climates, sugar is slower to accumulate in the grape leading to a low alcohol content.

The company registered a net profit of Rs 65.11 crore in the same quarter ended March 31, 2008.

However, the total income of the company has surged to Rs 922.90 crore for the quarter under review, as against Rs 765.46 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

For the year ended March 31, 2009, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 297.23 crore against Rs 311.28 crore last fiscal, down 4.51 per cent.

The new UK study has found that women will make or receive an average of 288,000 calls in their lifetime.

Those calls last a total of 42,000 hours - or 4.75 years.

As far as men are concerned, they are not much of "yappers"- their 277,000 calls in a lifetime take up 28,500 hours or 3.25 years, reports The Sun.

Water purifier manufacturer Kent RO Systems is all set to enter the estimated Rs 300 crore low-cost mass market water purifier segment.

According to latest reports it has revealed that, the company is set to launch a low cost purifier in the gravity storage water purifier segment next month.

The water purifier would be based on ultra filtration technology in which water filters through UF hollow membrane without using any chemical such as chlorine or bromine.
