London, Mar 29 : Sarah Symonds, the woman who became famous following an alleged seven-year affair with married TV chef Gordon Ramsay, is launching herself as the "infidelity aunt."

Following the episode, the 39-year-old had received numerous emails from women asking for advice on how to end their dangerous liaisons.

Now she has started Mistresses Anonymous meetings in Los Angeles and New York.

In the meetings women are encouraged to talk openly about their relationships and urged to take steps to make their lives happier.

"Clandestine relationships are a form of addiction which is difficult to break. To start with there is the adrenaline rush, the thrill of a new relationship which, inevitably, over time is replaced by the reality of the situation and then the heartbreak and tears," The Daily Express quoted Symonds, as saying.

"Most mistresses kid themselves that their lovers will leave their wives and set up home with them, but the truth is that rarely happens," she added.

There are 12 steps to recovery, which include never waiting at home for the phone to ring, improving self-esteem, being more positive about seeking a single man and being more analytical about relationships.

She said: "I have also had some contact with wives who want to know what do about their husband's mistress. My advice to them is simple, act more like a mistress, spice up home life and the mistress will fade away." (ANI)
