Juventus may sell Iaquinta, eye young Argentine Salvio
Rome - Italian football giants Juventus Turin are considering the sale of striker Vincenzo Iaquinta to Russian club Zenit St Petersburg and appear close to buy young Argentine star Eduardo Salvio, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported Tuesday.
Zenit reportedly offered 10 million euros (13.2 million dollars) for the 29-year-old forward, who found little room in his two seasons at the Juve, mostly due to frequent injuries.
A similar amount could be enough for Juve to secure Salvio from Argentine club Atletico Lanus. The 18-year-old forward is currently playing the South American Youth Championship, where he scored three goals in the first three games.
The club from Turin, though, can expect competition from other Serie A clubs, among them Inter Milan and AC Milan, who have also set their sights on the starlet. (dpa)
