London, Feb. 4 : Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has taunted Liverpool's Rafa Benitez by claiming he was trapped by coach Alex Ferguson over his inability to handle the pressure of leading the title race.

"He fell into the hole. That's something big in football, the psychology," The Sun quoted defender Ferdinand, 30, as saying.

United winger Ryan Giggs reckons Liverpool blew it while his team was playing at the Club World Cup.

He said: "We had to go to Tokyo - but no-one capitalised." (ANI)
