No respite from heat, Delhi experiences hottest day in 50 yearsNew Delhi, Apr 29: Majority of Delhiites remained indoors or used protective gears, as the national capital experienced the hottest day of April in last 50 years with mercury touching 43.5 degree Celsius.

Director of Indian Meteorological Department B P Yadav said the temperature on April 29 is a record for the month of April in the past
50 years.

The Met Department said Wednesday’s temperature was five degrees above normal during this period of time and it rose from Tuesday’s 42.2 degree Celsius.

The minimum was recorded at 24.4 degree Celsius, one degree above normal.

Weathermen predicted no relief from the scorching sun tomorrow with mercury likely to remain at 43 degrees and minimum rising to 27 degree Ceslius. (ANI)
