Amy Winehouse ‘hands control of her £15m fortune to parents’

Amy Winehouse ‘hands control of her £15m fortune to parents’London, Feb 1: Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has reportedly asked her parents to look after her fortune which is worth a whopping 15 million pounds.

The pop diva, who's currently trying to fight her demons on a long Caribbean holiday, signed when dad Mitch flew to see her.

The 25-year-old is barred from spending her own money without the say-so of Mitch or her mum Janis, reports the Mirror.

The move comes just weeks before the crooner is expected to receive a 10-million pound cheque for last year's sales of her 2006 album Back To Black.

"Everyone is pleased because it means Amy is listening to good advice," said a source.

"It's still her money and nobody else can touch it. But this stops her doing anything stupid. And it is evidence that Amy is really turning her life around," the source added.

Following the agreement, Winehouse can no longer pay out profits, make payments or loans, hire staff, change bank arrangements or appoint a director without the permission of Mitch, 58, or Janis, 54.

A friend said: "Mitch convinced Amy she needs a safety valve for the money for her own good - to stop her doing anything rash or daft.

"She can be very impetuous and the family wanted to protect her. She cannot make a sudden decision.

"Her dad was also worried she might be tempted to go back to Blake - and put him in charge. That is now impossible.

"This would never have happened before, certainly not when she was with Blake. It's her money and nobody else can touch it. But she can't do anything stupid." (ANI)
