Melbourne, Aug 27 : In a place where men outnumber the women by 10 to 1, Dani Walker has come out to be the only lady under 40, who is still single in Nar Nar Goon, Victoria.

Walker, who had moved to Nar Nar Goon this year and was dubbed as the "phantom lady", revealed that she had not noticed that there was an overabundance of single men.

"I''ve been single for a fair while. I suppose when I''ve been down to the pub I''ve been there with my three brothers, so I''m pretty oblivious to the men,” News. com. au quoted her as saying.

"I''m a sociable little munchkin, so I''ll talk to anyone. I haven''t really been looking too hard, I suppose," she said.

Second Life virtual world lover wanted to kidnap partner in real life!

Melbourne, Aug 27 : Second Life virtual world user Kimberly Jernigan, who fell for her fellow user, has been charged with trying to kidnap him at gunpoint.

Jernigan, 33, of North Carolina in the US was also charged with attempted kidnapping, burglary and aggravated menacing in a bizarre case of virtual love and real violence.

As the case revealed, Jernigan had allegedly launched two plots to kidnap her former boyfriend, a 52-year-old man she met in Second Life.

The man had reportedly begun a relationship with Jerrigan in cyberspace, but ended it after meeting her in person.

UFO hunters searching for aliens Down Under

Melbourne, Aug 27 : The History Channel is planning to send its team of documentary makers Down Under to investigate the spate of UFO sightings.

The American documentary makers are being sent to shoot an episode of the cable television series ‘UFO Hunters’.

The show is filming its second season after its first series proved a huge success in the United States.

UFO Hunters host William J. Birnes and his team of researchers would be visiting Australia to shoot for the series.

According to the show''s website: "The team''s access to UFO evidence is unparalleled and their expertise allows them to quickly identify bogus claims of UFOs.

Islamic school to appeal rejection by Oz authorities

AustraliaMelbourne, Aug 27 : Proponents of an Islamic school in south-western Sydney will appeal a local government rejection of the the proposal to build a 1,200-student school.

Camden Council voted unanimously in May to reject the proposal to build a 1,200-student school, after months of heated community meetings and the release of an adverse planner’s report, the Herald Sun reported.

The report cited traffic and environmental reasons for its decision.

The school’s backer, the Qu’uranic Society, will now appeal the council’s rejection.

World’s highest sightseeing spot is on 100th floor of China''s tallest skyscraper

Melbourne, August 27 : The world''s highest sightseeing spot on the 100th floor of China''s tallest skyscraper will be opened to the public on Saturday.

The observation deck is 474m above the ground in the Shanghai World Financial Centre.

Those wishing to experience a bird''s-eye view of the city will have to pay 25 dollars each, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The construction of the building finished earlier this year, but has not been opened to the public as yet.

It is the tallest building in China, and has 101 floors for a total height of 492m.

Besides the observation deck, the building also boasts a luxury hotel, shops, and 70 floors of office space.
