New Delhi, Apr 24: Amid an outrage over the death of Akriti Bhatia, Union Minister of State for Women and Children Development Renuka Choudhary on Friday said that such incidents should never happen.
"What can be done is that if there are five or six schools in an area and there is a nursing home or a hospital there then the schools can be linked to that. But we must examine the feasibility of this. We must ensure that something like this never happens," said Renuka.
Mumbai, Apr 24: A special court on Friday ordered an inquiry to determine the age of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the only survivour attacker of Mumbai terror attacks, by April 28.
The court’s order came after Kasab claimed to have been a minor at the time of Mumbai carnage.
Judge M. L. Tahiliyani said a radiologist and a forensic dentist would examine Kasab. Tahiliyani has also allowed special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to examine witnesses comprising doctors and jailor.
Muzaffarpur, Apr 24 : Five policemen were killed when Maoists triggered a landmine blast on a vehicle carrying a police patrolling party in Bihar''s Muzaffarpur District late on Thursday.
Five policemen died on the spot while the vehicle driver was reported as seriously injured.
"When the security personnel were returning from duty an Improvised Explosive Device blast took place near a bridge. The blast killed everybody except the driver who got seriously injured," said Sudhanshu Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur.
