Aditya Birla owned Idea Cellular has decided to formally launch its services in the country’s financial capital, Mumbai within the next few days.

Mumbai, Aug 14 : Niketa Mehta, who had sought to abort her 25-week-old-foetus, which had a congenital heart problem, has suffered a miscarriage, her husband said.

Niketa was rushed to a hospital in suburban Mumbai after complaining of severe pain on Tuesday night, her husband Haresh Mehta confirmed.

He blamed the constant media pressure for his wife''s high blood pressure and increased stress level, and claimed that this had resulted in the miscarriage.

It may be recalled that the Bombay High Court had rejected Mehta’s plea to get her unborn baby aborted after medical reports stated that her child would be born with malpositioned arteries and would require a pacemaker soon after birth.

Mumbai, August 13 : At least six people have been killed and about twenty-three seriously injured in the collapse of a 72-year old building in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Two women and two children are among the dead.

Four-storey building of Datta Apartments, situated in congested Bhindi Bazaar area of the city collapsed at 5.30 a. m.

Voltas Limited and Tata Enterprise has signed definitive agreement to acquire majority stake in Rohini Industrial Electricals.

Under the deal, Voltas will pay consideration of around of Rs 62 crore for 51% stake in RIE. Both the parties have agreed that Voltas may increase its equity stake in RIE up to 100% in future.

Mumbai based Rohini is engaged in undertaking large turnkey Electricals and Instrumentation projects for Industrial and Commercial sectors.

Mumbai/New Delhi, Aug 11 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh to Abhinav Bindra, who won the first gold medal in the men''s 10-meter air rifle event for India in Beijing Olympics, on behalf of the state.

Meanwhile, congratulating Abhinav for winning Olympic gold medal, Union Minister for Steel, Chemicals and Fertilisers Ram Vilas Paswan said, "Abhinav''s effort has brought smile to all Indians. This is a historic achievement which has made us all proud."
