SRK, the bollywood king, is trying his hands in property development in UAE. His first King Khan Becomes Property Builder in UAE Project is called Shah Rukh Khan's Boulevard and is situated on the island of Al Dana in Ras AL Khaimah. The island covers an area of 1700 sq km and is among the seven Emirates that form the UAE along the border of Oman. The development will consist of one and two bedroom apartments, designed by well-known architect Toni Ashai. 

The announcement of the project is going to be made at the real estate expo City Scape [in Dubai] to be held from October 6 to 9.

Burj Dubai becomes the tallest man-made structure on earth

Dubai BurjDubai - Burj Dubai, or Dubai tower, is now the world's tallest man-made structure after reaching a new record height of 688 metres, a statement by its developer Emaar Properties company read on Monday.

The tower surpasses the KVLY-TV mast in the US state of North Dakota, which has held the record for the world's tallest supported structure since 1963, has a height of
628.8 metres.

At over 160 storeys, the tower is taller than the Taipei 101 building (508 metres) in Taiwan and the CN Tower (553.33 metres) in Toronto, Canada.

Indian, Pak Gulf expats to mark independence days

India, Pakistan, UAEDubai, Aug. 13 : Pakistani and Indian communities in the UAE are gearing up to celebrate their 62nd independence days of their countries this week.

According to Gulf News, The Pakistani community will mark its Independence Day on August 14.

The main gathering will be held at the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi and its Consulate General in Dubai. Flag hoisting ceremonies will be held at the missions at 8a. m. The event is open to community members.

The highlight of this year''s Independence Day celebrations is a musical concert -- Jashn-e-Azadi Show -- which will be held at the Dubai Tennis Stadium on Thursday.
