Pakistan faces calls to curb its pro-Islamist intelligence service

PakistanLondon/Islamabad, Dec. 2 : The political spotlight is now on Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in the wake of the Mumbai massacre.

According to a report in The Independent, Pakistan''s recently elected civilian government has very limited room for manoeuvre as far dealing with the ISI is concerned.

The agency not only has the political and military clout to keep scrutiny at bay, but also possesses enough revenues to support its activities both within the country and outside.

Beyonce KnowlesLondon, December 2 : Beyonce Knowles has revealed that she had suffered depression for two years after her pop girl group ''Destiny''s Child'' had its share of conflicts - because she had been held as the perpetrator.

The R&B diva, along with pals Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson, had formed the band in their pre-teens but faced trouble in 1999 after Roberson and Luckett blamed manager (and Knowles'' father) Matthew Knowles for unequal distribution of the profits.

Bryan Adams reports ‘stalking’ mum and son to police

London, December 2 : Bryan Adams has reported a stalking mother and her son to police.

The ‘Summer of 69’ singer had been regularly followed by the pair, whom he had first met in a restaurant to sign an autograph, according to a source.

The two, said to be from Romania and suffering psychiatric problems, had since then tailed the Canadian rocker and even showed up at his Chelsea residence in West London.

“They have become obsessed with Bryan, turning up at his house and stalking him everywhere,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“It started when they saw him in a restaurant. Bryan likes to keep a low profile and is hardly the most recognisable rock star.

YouTube invites classical musicians to play Beijing Olympics theme composer’s music

London, December 2 : Beijing Olympics theme composer Tan Dun is upbeat that member of the video sharing website YouTube will give rise to revolutionary methods of playing music when they try performing his work.

The website is said to be organising a competition to discover new classical musicians, and wants users to submit videos showcasing their musical talent.

Those interested may submit their entries by 28 January next year. A final public vote will take place two weeks later.

Since the website’s members have to perform their own versions of Tan Dun''s composition, using an instrument is not necessary.

Posh decks up in designer wear for kids’ football practise

London, Dec 2 : While most mums would prefer wearing comfortable clothes while playing with their kids, English singer Victoria Beckham showed that she could be just as comfortable decked up in designer wear.

Posh was watching her sons Brooklyn, nine, and Romeo, six, from the sidelines as they practised their football moves in an LA park.

The former ‘Spice Girls’ member was seen wearing Aviator sunglasses worth 300 pounds, a chic black top and jeans costing 175 pounds from her own dVb label.

In addition to her chic clothes was a pair of Christian Louboutin heels costing 500 pounds.
