Zimbabwe crisis talks to be held in South Africa

Johannesburg - South Africa will host talks on resolving Zimbabwe's political impasse, reports said Thursday. 

High-ranking representatives of the ruling Zanu-PF party of Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and the opposition Movement of Democratic Change (MDC) of Morgan Tsvangirai are planning to meet in South Africa's Pretoria, the Business Day newspaper reported. 

MDC second-in-command Tendai Biti, who was charged with treason in June, will also attend the talks. 

The High Court in Zimbabwe's capital Harare on Wednesday gave the go-ahead for Biti to travel abroad for the talks, ordering his passport be returned.
