Robinho walks out of City training camp
London - Manchester City confirmed on Tuesday that Brazilian forward Robinho has left their training camp on Mallorca.
It is understood that Robinho left the island on Monday, with reports suggesting he had been involved in a row with club officials following the collapse of talks aimed at bringing his compatriot Kaka to the club.
Other reports suggested the forward had been told he could return to Brazil to celebrate his 25th birthday.
City had made a 91 million-pound (127.6 million-dollar) offer for Kaka, but he turned down a move that would have trebled his wages, saying "there is more to football than money".
Robinho has been a turbulent presence since his 34 million-pound move to City in August, and had made no secret of his desire to be joined by his international team-mate.
City completed the signing of Wales international forward Craig Bellamy on Monday, and are optimistic of landing Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong after agreeing an 18 million-pound fee with Hamburg. (dpa)
