Spanish inflation lowest in 10 years

Spain MapMadrid - Spanish inflation fell to 1.5 per cent in December, its lowest rate in 10 years, the National Statistics Institute said Monday.

Inflation fell for the fifth consecutive month, registering a drop of 2.8 per cent compared to December 2007.

Analysts attributed the weakening inflation mainly to falling oil and raw material prices. (dpa)
