Sydney, Mar 3: Fewer than half of Australia’s elite cricketers believe representing their country will be the ultimate professional accolade in 10 years.

The Australian Cricketers’ Association has revealed the uncertainty in an annual survey of state and national representatives, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Dubai, Mar 3: International Cricket Council Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat has condemned the attack on Sri Lankan cricketers in Pakistan.

“We note with dismay and regret the events of this morning in Lahore and we condemn this attack without reservation.”

“It is a source of great sadness that there have been a number of fatalities in this attack and it is also very upsetting for the wider cricket family that some of the Sri Lanka players and one match official have been injured in this attack,” Lorgat said.
