For the manufacture of critical components for thermal power plants, forgings major Bharat Forge Ltd (BFL) is proposing to form an energy joint venture with a Europe-based company of the Alstom Group.

Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director, BFL, described the move as a part of the company’s planned entry into the capital goods sector.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) considers India as a potential market for its new models. It would double its investment in the country in the coming times. TMC has decided to invest Rs 3,200 crore in India. The company has decided to set up a new manufacturing plant at Banglore. It would make the Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (TKM) site more efficient by increasing its production capacity.

Bharti Teletech, one of India's leading manufacturers and distributors of telecom & allied products, has signed up a strategic pact with Transcend Information Inc., a leading global player in the Memory accessories business.

Under the deal, Bharti Teletech will sell and distribute the complete range of Transcend products in the Indian market.

Transcend will be able to leverage Bharti Teletech’s wide retail network of more than 36000 retailers spread across 3600 Towns in the country.

UK-base NDS group has announced $150 million invesment in India to boost its current operations. The company has invested over $120 million so far and has now announced an investment of $150 million over the next four years to support the accelerating digitization of pay-TV across the nation and worldwide.

The NDS Group is a UK-based global digital pay and interactive TV technology provider. The group had ventured into India in 2000, establishing a R&D Center in Bangalore.
 

Washington, Nov 5: A US based company is developing a vehicles that would require nothing but air to run on the roads, with Indian carmaker TATA already buying the rights to make the car for the huge Indian market.

According to a report in Environmental News Network (ENN), Zero Pollution Motors is developing a vehicle that can motor around all day on nothing but air and a splash of salad oil, alcohol or possibly a pint of gasoline.
