New Delhi, Nov 8 : The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has blamed the Central Government of being biased to Hindus caught in terrorist attack case.

Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra has arrested Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur for her suspected involvement in September 29 blasts in Malegaon, in which five people were killed.

The ATS arrested five people including Hindu activists and two retired army officials for their suspected role in the blast.

New Delhi, Nov 8 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is leaving for a three-day visit to Oman and Qatar on Saturday afternoon.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high level delegation. On the first leg of his visit Dr. Singh will hold talks with the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos Bin Al-Sayed, and other leaders on various issues.

This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Qatar.

Energy security and welfare of Indian citizens in the Gulf region will be high on the agenda of talks between Dr. Singh and leaders of Oman and Qatar.

New Delhi, Nov 7 : Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer launched its award-winning super sports car Audi R8 car in New Delhi on Friday.

The model, priced at 11.7 million rupees, is equipped with an engine displacement of 4,163cc, a power output of 309 kW (420 hp) at 7,800 rpm and a maximum torque 430 Nm between 4,500 and 6,000 rpm.

New Delhi, Nov 7 : Dr. Jorge Sampaio, Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General for the fight against Tuberculosis and Special Representative for the Alliance of the Civilizations called on Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss here today.

Dr. Sampaio who is on his official visit to India from November 2-7 in connection with attending the board meeting of the Global Fund for fighting against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria called on Dr. Ramadoss to discuss issues pertaining to the ongoing Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme in India.
