Qureshi cut shorts India visitUpset over widespread charges of involvement of Pakistan in the Mumbai terror attacks, Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi cut short his four-day visit to India.

He left for Islamabad on Saturday morning.

Qureshi was scheduled to meet Leader of Opposition L K Advani, at 10.30 am on Saturday. But this appointment was cancelled due to a cabinet meeting in Islamabad later in the day.

3 BSF jawans killed in TripuraThree Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were shot dead by Separatist guerrillas in Dhalai district of Tripura on Saturday.

A lobourer was also killed in the same incident.

"The BSF men (77 Battalion) were guarding those working on the India-Bangladesh border fencing being constructed by NPCC when they got ambushed," police spokesman Mayajoy Rupini said.

The dead worker belonged to the National Project Construction Co (NPCC).

The police has blamed the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) for the killings.

National games postponed

National games postponedThe 34th National Games to be held in Jharkhand have been further postponed and will now be held on Feb 15-28.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) earlier postponed the Games at the request of National Games Organising Committee (NGOC) as Jharkhand failed to develop the infrastructure in time for the Dec 1-13 event.

"The National Games date has been extended as the necessary infrastructure was not ready. The IOA has accepted the request to extend the dates and the games will take place in February," Jharkhand Sports Minister Bandhu Tirkey said.

She will pay a visit to terror-struck Mumbai on 2nd December.

President will return to Mumbai on 1st December after completing her scheduled official engagements in the South-East Asian country.

The President, who hails from Maharashtra, will go to Mumbai the next day. There the President will take stock of the situation and visit the injured in the worst-ever terror attack on India, said an official.

Total number of voters in Delhi is over 1.5 crore.

The polls saw stray incidents of violence but remained by and large peaceful. The elections were peaceful though there were four incidents of minor violence during the polling which began at 8 am amid 52,000 police personnel keeping a tight vigil, said Chief Electoral Officer Satbir Sailas Bedi.

Four BSP workers were injured in clashes in Okhla area while two persons were arrested in Mehrauli for trespassing into polling booths unauthorisedly, he added.
