Three chain snatching incidents were reported from the city on Tuesday. According to police, Prameela Rohidas Patil (42), a resident of Gothavali village was walking on the road at sector 1, Nerul when two men on their bike snatched away her mangalsutra worth Rs 80,000.

In another incident, Meera Pramod Chandwadkar (49) was walking along the road near Panvel ST depot when two unknown men on their motor bike came near her and snatched away the mangalsutra worth Rs 32,000 besides fleeing away with the gold chain worth Rs 15,000 belonging to Chandra Suresh Birvadkar who was walking along with Chandwadkar. Cases have been registered in both the cases. In another incident, a case has been lodged against an unknown person under section 379 of the IPC at Rabale Police Station for robbing Manoj Sonawane of his gold chain worth Rs 75,000.
