About a third of browsing is done on smartphones in UK, studyAccording to a new study, almost a third of the browsing in the UK is done through smartphones from the likes of Samsung, Apple, HTC, Nokia and others, which provide easy access to internet.

The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) noted that around 28 per cent of internet browsing is done on these devices. IDM mobile consultant and digital trainer Rob Thurner said that the use of smartphones for accessing internet has increased as the customers are able to benefit from cheap data plans.

Mr. Thurner said, “With faster processing power, bigger screens and touch screen, we are able to do things on our mobile that ordinarily we would have to wait to do when we were back on the PC.”

He also revealed that users logged more on Facebook though their devices and stayed for longer time on the social network. He also pointed out that 84 per cent of people watch TV while using their mobile.
