Nokia and Bharatmatrimony have joined hands to let Nokia handset owners to access the matrimonial service while on the move.

The users of Nokia handsets can make use of matchmaking service through Catalogs; a mobile 'shopping mall' that provides different content, applications, and services anytime, anywhere.

Lee Epting, vice president of Forum Nokia, said, "With BharatMatrimony, Nokia is able to offer this service to more people all over the country via a downloadable application that can be found in Catalogs, providing them with all the necessary information they need about prospective partners."

The company said that the newly launched service is opportune and comprehensible.

The users just have to register and list profile, and after charges there are capable of searching profiles of potential spouses, make contact with profiles they are interested in, and connect a background verification service.

BharatMatrimony on Nokia devices eventually plans to offer features such as support videos, images and voice introduction, and a click-to-call facility -- that too in multiple Indian languages.

Nokia Catalogs provides customized content for each country. Currently, the Catalog for Indian consumers offers a wide range of content including entertainment-related ring tones, branded Bollywood content, games, and productivity applications.
