Yet another member of Bachchan’s parivar has made it big.

First
it was Amitabh Bachchan and the land in Barabanki and now it is
Bachchan’s bahu Aishwarya Rai who is in a land mess in Nasik.

Acting
on a farmer’s grievance, the Nasik police has registered a complaint
against Aishwarya Rai and several others, including Suzlon company
Chairman Tulsibai Tanti, for illegal purchase of land for setting up a
windmill at Nandurbar district in North Maharashtra.

In his
complaint, a farmer named Anand Lala Thakare, has alleged that his land
was acquired by Suzlon Energy Ltd in 2003-2004 for an insignificant
amount of Rs 20,000. And later the same land was sold to Aishwarya for
Rs 20 lakh.

It may be recalled here that Suzlon company is
setting up a wind power project at Dhandane in Nandurbar and Aishwarya
is one of the shareholders of this company.

Apart from
Aishwarya and Tanti, others against whom the complaint has been lodged
are Mangal Surgeon, Mohan Jawan, Jayant Bhosale, Anil Gangavane,
Sharansingh Siddhusingh, Harish Panth, the district collector and
company shareholders.

Meanwhile, BJP leader in the state Nitin Gadkari has also decide to sue the owners of this land.

However, the state government has made it very clear that they will take this matter very seriously.
