Arsenal ends nine-year trophy drought by winning FA Cup

ArsenalLondon, May 18 - Arsenal has ended their nine-year wait for a trophy after they won the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday by beating Hull City 3-2 in a dramatic final clash.

For boss Arsene Wenger, this triumph will be received with a mixture of celebration and relief as he won the FA Cup for the fifth time in his career and demonstrated that he can still bring silverware to a club that has gone through a long, barren spell.

According to the BBC, although Arsenal started as firm favourites but were stunned as goals from James Chester and Curtis Davies gave Hull a flying start inside the first eight minutes, although Santi Cazorla's free-kick put Arsenal back in contention before half-time.

Follo wing Cazorla's goal, the report said that Laurent Koscielny scrambled in the equaliser after 71 minutes and then Aaron Ramsey, whose absence through injury hit the side hard in the latter part of the season, completed the comeback with an instinctive strike with 11 minutes of the extra period left.
