Barca midfielders Xavi, Iniesta, Toure, could be out two weeks
Madrid - Barcelona midfielders Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Yaya Toure will all probably be out of action for around two weeks, according to the digital versions of Sport and Mundo Deportivo on Sunday night.
All three picked up minor injuries in Barca's 6-0 thrashing of Malaga on Sunday, and will probably miss the upcoming international matches. They will all undergo further tests on Monday.
Ivory Coast midfielder Toure limped out of the game after 23 minutes, with a torn abductor muscle in his right leg.
Iniesta, for his part, has pulled a muscle in his right thigh, whilst Xavi has suffered a blow to his Achilles tendon. Both limped off in the second half, and are doubtful for Spain's World Cup qualifying matches home and away to Turkey.
Iniesta and Xavi - who played an important role in Spain's Euro 2008 triumph - will both join the Spain squad on Monday, but with notes from Barca head doctor Ricard Pruna explaining their injuries.
According to Sport and Mundo Deportivo, all three midfielders should be fit in time for Barca's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich on April 8. (dpa)
