'Battlefield 3: Armored Kill' DLC arriving first on PS3 Premium, then on PC and Xbox 360

'Battlefield 3: Armored Kill' DLC arriving first on PS3 Premium, then on PC and Xbox 360With Electronics Arts (EA) having revealed in a last-week announcement that a Battlefield 3 Premium Edition will be launched in the US on September 11 and in Europe on September 13, it is now being reported that the downloadable content (DLC) for ‘Battlefield 3: Armored Kill’ will first be released for the Battlefield Premium members on PlayStation 3, and then for those on PC and Xbox 360.

According to recent reports, while the 'Battlefield 3: Armored Kill' DLC for Premium members on the PS3 will arrive on September 4, the DLC for their counterparts on Xbox 360 and PC has been scheduled for a September 11 release.

Meanwhile, those gamers who are not Battlefield Premium members will have the DLC released for them on September 18 for the PS3 version, and September 25 for the PC and Xbox 360 editions.

Some of the most attractive features of the 'Battlefield 3: Armored Kill' DLC will include new drivable tans; ATVs; bigger battlefields; mobile artillery, and – as per EA’s claims - the largest map in Battlefield history.

Moreover, in order to avoid a repeat of the official servers-linked problems which affected the gamers on Xbox 360 or PS3 over the past few months, DICE has boosted the number of official Battlefield 3 servers on consoles.

Noting that the gamers wish for more official DICE servers has been heard, DICE said in a recent statement: "As of now, we have effectively quadrupled them on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.”
