New Delhi, Jan 30: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader M Venkaiah Naidu said on Thursday that terrorism, unemployment and inflation would be the party''s key issues during an ''aggressive campaign'' for the general elections this year.
During a meeting to chalk out strategy for the upcoming general elections here, Naidu said, "Terrorism is the main issue. Crisis in the farming sector is another issue. Even though the rate of inflation is going down, the prices of daily usage products in the market are still the same,"
"Besides these issues, the party would also focus on ''good governance'' of the states ruled by the BJP," he added
Senior leaders LK Advani, Rajnath Singh, Yashwant Sinha, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Ananth Kumar were present at the meeting.
Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, the States ruled by BJP, were also present.
The BJP plans to launch a "first time voters'' welcome programme" under which the party workers would contact new voters individually and through special meetings with them. (ANI)
