New York, Jan 26 : Brit celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, 42, may be feeling the pinch with his crumbling restaurant empire, taxes and allegations of a seven year affair.

Ramsay's London restaurant, Foxtrot Oscar, has been shut for two days a week, and reports have surfaced that two other London restaurants, Ramsay''s Sloane Street and The Devonshire Pub, are for sale.

According to the New York Post, the chef has denied these reports, and documents show he allegedly owes back taxes.

"The F Word" star was last year stripped of two coveted Michelin stars when protégé Chef Marcus Wareing split from him, taking the renowned Petrus restaurant with him.

He was also replaced at London''s prestigious Connaught Hotel restaurant by French chef Helene Darroze, and landed himself in an affair scandal with Sarah Symonds.

Ramsay faced even worse times after he fired his p. r. guru, Garry Farrow, who had helped him become the top celebrity chef in the world, with an earning of 83 million dollars.

Establishing the precise impact of the credit crunch on Ramsay''s business empire will not be easy, as the figures for 2007 should have been filed months ago.

But since the company often sends in late returns, it has prompted legal warnings that prosecution is imminent.

Sources have revealed that the company is "finding life pretty tough at the moment," as evidenced by the fact that there is a newspaper promotion offering dinner at Gordon Ramsay restaurants for just 21 dollars a head. (ANI)
