Dhruv Baker, the Masterchef2010, said that his passion for cooking was fired by the TV show anchored by Gordon Ramsay. Baker said that Ramsay was the first celebrity chef he had noticed.
The 34 year old former member of the Board of Directors of a media firm, who quit the job while doing the show, has already decided to open his own restaurant.
Answering to the question, if he will follow the path of his idol Ramsey and become a TV chef, Baker said that his first priority is to open his own restaurant.

London, Aug 17 : Men are spending more and more time cooking, all thanks to celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver, says a new report.
The report said that men now spend more than twice the amount of time preparing meals than they did in 1961 after being inspired by these celebrity chefs, who have given cookery a more macho image.
"The man in the kitchen is part of a much wider social trend. There has been 40 years of gender equality, but there is another 40 years probably to come," the Telegraph quoted Prof Jonatahn Gershuny, from Oxford University as saying.

Wellington, Aug 17 : From celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay to the Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, everyone seems to be swearing in Australia.
And according to a language expert, people Down Under have foul mouth.
Roly Sussex, a professor of applied language studies at the University of Queensland, pointed out the Rudd's saying "shitstorm" on national television in March.
The professor believes it is indicative of the casualness with which slang is accepted in the country of kangaroos.

London, Aug 12 : Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has admitted that he has become `obsessed' with drive-thru burgers.
The 42-year-old is known to be a big fan of fast food and now it looks like he's found a new object for his affections, in the shape of In-N-Out Burger.
The company, formed in 1948, has been the talk of Tinseltown for quite some time and now Ramsay's given his much-coveted approval to the restaurant.
"They are extraordinary. One thing I enjoy eating is fish and meats. I've been somewhat obsessed with In-N-Out burgers," the Daily Express quoted Ramsay as saying. (ANI)

London, Jul 3 : Brit celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he sees a better future for his global restaurant empire, even though the ongoing recession has hit him hard, and his profits have dropped down to 87 percent.
Ramsay’s debts have doubled from 4million pounds to 9.5million pounds, with interest payments rising to 545,563 pounds.
His accounts show that his profits have gone down from 3million pounds to 383,205 pounds.

Melbourne, Jun 10 : Brit celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has issued an apology to `A Current Affair' presenter Tracy Grimshaw for insulting her publicly.
As per a spokesman, Ramsay realised that his remarks at a Melbourne cooking show last weekend were "inappropriate and offensive".
"His comments relating to Tracy Grimshaw, who had interviewed Gordon the previous evening, were off the cuff and in response to heckling from the audience," News. com. au quoted him as telling Sky News in London.

London, May 16 : Brit chef Gordon Ramsay will apparently be angry after the woman who claims to have been his mistress appeared on his hit US telly show `Hell's Kitchen'.
Sarah Symonds, 39, appeared on screen for a couple of seconds, sitting alone in the Hell's Kitchen restaurant in Los Angeles.
She is seen filling out a card to give feedback on her meal, and says "OK" before the shot cuts to another scene.

London, May 12 : Acclaimed chef Gordon Brown's `Great British Nightmare' show drew some flak after the F-word was used for a whopping 115 times in 40 minutes.
Viewers witnessed the most "aggressive" scene occur at 9.30pm, when a chef shouted the word "f***ing" 30 times in less than two minutes.
Many complaints were filed against the show because viewers found the use of foul language offensive.

London, May 01 : Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is being sued by upmarket food company Nibblers UK for allegedly not paying his bills of 1,135 pounds.
The company supply Ramsay's London gastropubs - The Narrow in Limehouse, The Warrington in Maida Vale and The Devonshire in Chiswick - with nibbles.
Recently, these pubs were revealed to be serving food ready prepared by a central Ramsay-run outlet and sold with as much as a 586 per cent mark-up.

Ramsay, 42, himself admitted that he had on one occasion screamed at his son publicly.

An episode of Ramsay's TV show `Gordon''s Great British Nightmare' contained 313 swear words, and he was heard to have used the word "f**k" 240 times, reports the Daily Express.
Ofcom questioned Britain''s Channel 4, which telecast the show, why the programme was allowed to go on air despite being full of cuss words.

New York, Jan 26 : Brit celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, 42, may be feeling the pinch with his crumbling restaurant empire, taxes and allegations of a seven year affair.
Ramsay's London restaurant, Foxtrot Oscar, has been shut for two days a week, and reports have surfaced that two other London restaurants, Ramsay''s Sloane Street and The Devonshire Pub, are for sale.
According to the New York Post, the chef has denied these reports, and documents show he allegedly owes back taxes.
