Los Angeles  - Brooke Shields and Jim Belushi escaped unscathed when a private plane they were travelling in hit an SUV after landing.

The incident occurred at a private airstrip Friday at the palatial Hearst Castle in central California, the magnificent retreat filled with European artworks built by newspaper magnate Randolph Hearst, People Magazine reported.

According to the report the pair had just landed to attend a private function when the pilot got out but forgot to engage the parking brake. The plane rolled a few metres before bumping in to a parked car, scraping the vehicle and breaking its mirror. No injuries were reported. dpa
