BSF commandant attacked by junior, seriously injured in W.BengalKolkata, Mar. 22: A Border Security Force (BSF) commandant was hacked and seriously injured by a trooper of his platoon in West Bengal's Malda District on Saturday.

Reports reaching here from Malda said that Commandant Suresh Yadav was in critical condition, hours after Constable R. K Saini attacked him at the BSF camp in the area. Yadav received serious head injuries and is being treated at the Malda District Hospital.

"The constable attacked the commandant for taking some disciplinary action against him a few days ago. We are now enquiring into the matter and we have also taken the constable into custody," BSF Inspector General (South Bengal) C. V. Murlidhar was quoted, as saying.(ANI)
