New Delhi  - India's Tata Motors Tuesday announced that it was relocating its project to manufacture the world's cheapest car, the Nano, to the western state of Gujarat and will launch the car in the first quarter of 2009.

The company last week scrapped its 350-million-dollar project in the eastern state of West Bengal after continuing protests by farmers over land acquired for the plant.

Tata group chairman Ratan Tata and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi announced at a press conference that the new Nano plant would be located on 440 hectares in the Sanand area near the commercial capital Ahmedabad.

Air France would expand its network by starting new services to major Indian cities. The air line has also decided to take care of Indian flavours in its flights. It would provide vegetarian food and Indian newspapers and films on board. 

Air France intends to become a top class air service provider by developing strategic zones to get more passengers. The company had started its services from Bangalore in 2005 and from Chennai in 2006. It is now interested to start services from Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune.

Washington - The Dow Jones Industrial Average Monday fell below 10,000 points for the first time in four years and the S&P 500 reached a four-year low on worries about more bank bail-outs in Europe and tumbling commodity prices.

Trading halted in Russia and Brazil as stocks plunged. Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Corp. fell more than 6.3 per cent after the German government led a bailout of commercial-property lender Hypo Real Estate Holding AG and BNP Paribas SA bought Fortis's Belgium bank.

London, Oct 6 : Business firms come under billions of pounds every year in lost production, thanks to stress and personality clashes at workplace, says a new study.

The study conducted by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and business psychology firm OPP has revealed that, on average, an individual spends two hours a week dealing with some form of conflict, which may cost millions of lost working days a year.

According to the study, conflict is an "inevitable" part of the workplace, but has now grown to such an extent that it is deteriorating British business because it is so poorly managed.
