Churches Vandalized In Bangalore

For the first time Bangalore today, Sep 21, bore the brunt of the communal tension Churches Vandalized In Bangalorethat has gripped the state of Karnataka following the communal row. Bangalore faced communal row as a rowdy mob targeted two churches in Karnataka's capital city, this morning. 

The attacks took place at Mariam Palya and Raja Rajeshwari Nagar early in the morning. An incident of stone pelting was reported at the Raja Rajeshwari church, while the church at Mariam Palaya was damaged by agitating groups. 

In the wake of continuing violence in the state, the opposition Congress and JD (S) have demanded that Article 356 or President's rule should now be imposed in the state. 

Asking for the dismissal of the state government Devegowda said, "Now, it is for the government of India to take decision. I demanded the dismissal of the present government. We submitted a memorandum of our party under the leadership of Mr Kumaraswamy demanding the dismissal of this government and for imposition of president's rule in the state."
