Soon, wife and son end life by consuming poison

Karsan Suva, a police constable with Porbandar Local Crime Branch (LCB), ended his life by shooting self with his service revolver. His wife and his younger son died too after consuming poison on Sunday morning.

However, his elder son who too consumed poison was rushed to hospital and was safe, sources say. Suva shot himself in the morning when he was alone at his residence at Madhav Park in Porbandar.

His elder daughter came to know about it when she went into his room to call him for lunch. The police were informed and his body was rushed for post mortem.

Soon the police also learnt that Suva's wife and kids also consumed poison. When they reached the place, they found Suva's wife Sarlaben and son Mukesh dead. They rushed the elder son, Rajdeep, who was still breathing, to a private hospital for treatment.

Sources say that the rest of the family attempted suicide after learning about Suva's death. The reason behind the extreme step is said to be domestic problems in the family, added sources.

The police gave a gun-salute to Suva's body at civil hospital after the post mortem. His last rites were performed at his native village Bhodar.
