The US Coast Guard said that some passengers got injured after a cruise ship hit a wall in the Eisenhower Lock in upstate New York on Thursday night.

The US Coast Guard said that the Saint Laurent crashed into a wall in the Eisenhower Lock in the Saint Lawrence Seaway in Massena, near the Canadian border. In total, there were 274 passengers and crew board.

The injured people were taken off the ship and were provided treatment. The water has been drained from the lock and the ship will be there and its doors will remain closed till the time it does not move from there.

Investigation is on in the case. As per the Watertown Daily Times, all people on the board were French nationals and the ship was going from Montreal to Toronto. All injuries have been categorized as minor. The Saint Laurent is spending the summer on the St. Lawrence.

In May, the ship made a stop in Clayton and it was scheduled to have total nine stops in the village this summer.
