Cute Honda electric car headed for Tokyo Show
Tokyo - Honda is unveiling at next month's Tokyo Motor Show a cute EV-N Concept electric vehicle in early 1970s retro-look but with all the latest clean-drive technology.
Among the features are a solar-panel roof that feeds the lithium-ion batteries with power. Fitted with an all-electric motor the car is designed for short city commutes. The concept has a personal mobility unicycle called the U3-X strapped into the door.
The design is reminiscent of the N360 Honda micro car that was fitted with a two cylinder engine with an output of 31 hp.
Although the concept is unlikely to see serial production the technology forms part of Honda's HELLO! Exhibition at the Tokyo Show on a clean-drive future and new vehicle communication technology. (dpa)
