Cyber threats a matter of concerns, says FBI Director

Cyber threats a matter of concerns, says FBI DirectorFBI Director Robert Mueller has expressed his concerns over the growing number of cyber threats in the country.

He informed that the US security system is now dealing with some serious cyber threats from a number of militant groups, foreign states and criminal organizations. Cyber criminals are now trying to target government and private computer networks, said Muller. He was addressing an Internet Security Conference in San Francisco.

He further added that the militant groups like al-Qaeda use Internet to recruit members for the group and even plan attacks. They use the hacking techniques to plan their missions. These attacks, warned Muller, are no less than a well planned blast.

Apart from that, Muller has also exposed some of the most crucial facts like the attempts by various foreign countries to spy on the network of their rival countries through the use of cyber crime. International criminal syndicates are now targeting government networks to get information regarding technology, intelligence, intellectual property, military weapons and various strategies.

Hence, a nation like the US is now facing serious intimidations and should stay alert for physical attacks as well as cyber attacks from its enemies, said Muller.
