Deepika To Meet Sayana In Title RoundIndian national champion Deepika Kumari has stormed into the final of the cadet recurve women’s event of the 11th Youth World Archery Championship at Ogden (Utah) in the U.S. on Thursday.

India shooters have also kept hopes alive for four bronze medals in the individual and team events of cadet recurve men and in the team events of compound men and women.

The fourth-seeded Deepika faced a tough competition from the top seeded Jeon Hun Young of Korea, but she outclassed her opponent to win the semifinal match by 112-108.

Earlier in the day, Deepika outplayed the fifth seeded Miranda Leek of the U.S. by 115-104 in the quarterfinal to make into the semifinal round of the girls single event.

Deepika will now lock horns with the 10th seeded Sayana Tsyrempilova of Russia in the final match of the tournament.

The seventh seeded Sanjay Boro will play for bronze medal in the cadet recurve men after defeating the 18th seeded Osman Eskici of Turkey by 112-101 in the quarterfinals.
